Materia was invited among other recognized architects and interior designers, to redesign the rooms of a house as part of Design House 2013. Materia participated with an intervention in one of the bedrooms.

The chamber was designed with compartments making an analogy to a woman´s life; that was thought as a former inhabitant of this space. Like her possessions, the spaces are turning around and showing nooks, from a public access to an intimate lounge bathroom. The handling of light and materials make clear the "layers" that make up the space and life of the character who lived there.

Following the event, the house will be demolished, and this implies a duel and an attitude of "letting go". Thus, in the room stands the contrast of finished surfaces against those who have stripped their origin in preparation for the departure. The dwellers of the inhabitants´ memories flourish when the original materials are exposed.
